Wish I had six weeks off...vacation or otherwise...have fun!
Well its 4 days to go til I go away, today I got my tickets and well half a rainforest of stuff to read its actually a bit overwhelming, so you'll see me less this week then not much at all although I have to e-mail home so I may pop in. I'm supposed to be packing right now actually, it quite hard deciding what to take, I've never had to pack for being away so long before (6 weeks)
I feel like Bill Bryson from his book Neither Here Nor There Travels in Europe, charging around Europe fluent in ..oh.. at least one language [img]eek.gif[/img]
Any reminders for things I may be forgetting?
My sister being her usual helpful self said underwear (like I'm really going to forget it after having nightmares and counting it about half a dozen times already.)

Sawasdee from Bangkok everybody. Its very hot and sticky here. Our plane was delayed so we didn't leave NZ til 4:30pm and got to Bangkok at 2am in the morning local time thats NZ 7am so long day. The hotel is nice and has a lovely pool so great when its so hot in the afternoon.
Went on city and Temples tour yesterday. Saw many,many Buddhas so all Buddha'd out. The Reclining Buddha was pretty awesome tho' its HUGE. Went shopping today heaps of cheap shops and stalls. Tomorrow we are going on a River Kwai and floating markets tour for the whole day before fling out at 1 am in the morning.
I have to go now I think our time is up.

Hello, from Switzerland if this message is badly puntuated its bcoz the keyboard is set up for german and I cant find half the keys. Its been pretty hectic since I started the Contiki 5 days ago, we finally have a free afternoon and net access. Everyone on the tour is pretty cool Loads of Ozzies but we just beat them in the Rugby so we have been rubbing it in. Our tour manager is awesome. So far we have been to Amsterdam and gotten up to all sorts of mischief, St Goar in the Rhine valley Germany, and now we are in Switzerland which gets the big 2 thumbs up for beauty, food, accomodation and the fact that whilst here I havent had to hand over 50cents evrytime i want to use a public toilet. Once again I am running out of net time, I have been trying to keep a diary so hopefully I can tell you all about it when i get back.

YAY for contiki!!! do you guys have a bus song? our's was "macho man". it was hilarious. every morning the driver and tour manager would rip off their shirts and dance in the bus aisles. speaking of which, who is your driver and manager?
so glad you're having heaps of fun! any canadians on board?
